ABOUT OWIC
The Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC), a senior Government and industry forum, was established in May 2013 to drive the development of the world-leading offshore wind sector in the UK. It is comprised of members drawn from the leading UK and global firms in the offshore wind industry, including developers and original equipment manufacturers.
The Council oversees and drives the implementation of the Offshore Wind Sector Deal, co-Chaired by Industry and the UK Minister of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.

RenewableUK are a trade association who support over 400 member companies to ensure increasing amounts of renewable electricity are deployed across the UK and access markets to export all over the world.
Offshore Wind Growth Partnership
The OWGP is a long-term business transformation programme that has been established as part of the UK Offshore Wind Sector Deal. It promotes closer collaboration across the supply chain, implement structured productivity improvement programmes and facilitate shared growth opportunities between developers and the supply chain. The OWGP is funded by members of OWIC and delivered by Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.
Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult
ORE Catapult play a key role in delivering the UK’s largest clean growth opportunity, through their mission to accelerate the creation and growth of UK companies in the offshore renewable energy sector. They use unique facilities and research and engineering capabilities to bring together industry and academia and drive innovation in renewable energy.
Scottish Offshore Wind Energy Council
The Scottish Offshore Wind Energy Council is a new group established in partnership between the Scottish public sector and offshore wind industry, with a Vision and Goals to to support the offshore wind industry in Scotland now the UK offshore wind industry has secured a Sector Deal with the UK Government, working with the DeepWind and Forth & Tay Offshore clusters.
