Setting the Right Tone - Collaborating with our Supply Chain on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Sue Falch-Lovesey, Vattenfall
Vattenfall is working closely with the future supply chain to scale up our collective best work on equality, diversity and inclusion. This will help us all to deliver on our industry targets and ambitions for a workforce that is truly representative, with people of all protected characteristics contributing their talents to society's most pressing challenges.
By comprehensively incorporating equality, diversity and inclusion into our Supply Chain Code of Conduct EDI Supplement and our Invitation to Tender documentation, we openly share our expectations as well as acknowledging and celebrating suppliers for their input and delivery. This will make it much more likely that intentions will evolve into action.
Through the Code and associated processes, we will continue to learn together, share knowledge, enable targeted opportunities e.g. diverse cohorts undertaking training in areas where there are skills gaps, as well as taking time to celebrate success.
Our goal is to actively collaborate to achieve a long lasting, sustainable shift towards greater equality, diversity, and inclusion - so that we are all represented in realising a fossil fuel free future. We think that this code will bring us closer to this.
